February Deals

My February deals are super small this month, but still (as always) a good deal!

I found a $3 manufacturer coupon for the new Almay ButterKiss lipstricks. It retails for $7.49. It was on sale at CVS for $5.49, minus $3 plus tax, I only paid $2.82.
I went to CVS with quite a few coupons and rewards. Here is the retail breakdown:
-Hair ties and wrap, $1.86
-Physician Formula Bronzer $14.99
-Revlon HD lipstick, $10.99
-Rimmel Nail Polish $2.99
-Cocoa Butter Vaseline Lip Therapy $2.50.
*everything retail together: $33.33 and I only paid $12.94!
Old Navy had a lot of  stuff in their sale racks. I found this tank top that retails for $10, on sale for $4.99, further reduced to $2.99 and I had a 10% off coupon. With tax, I paid only $2.85.

The value of my February deals is $50.82 and I only paid $18.61!

February Freebies

Now into February 2015, the second month of the year...my freebies have continued to come in! Let's see what I got...
In my first Julep Maven subscription box for February 2015, I received a free metamorphic top coat ($14 value) as a little goodie from Julep. And since I had three add on products, they sent me a Julep Pore Vanisher for free!

Dunkin' Donuts was celebrating the 1 year anniversary of their Dunkin' Perks program. If you purchased a drink you would get a coupon to redeem on your next visit for a free drink of any size. So for my free drink, I got a large French vanilla swirl ice coffee and I got a free donut as well (because I fill out the coupon for the free donut on the bottom of the receipt).

On February 12, California Tortilla was giving out free Love Chips with Nutella, with a purchase. So I bought a soda and got the free cinnamon sugar dusted tortilla chips and a little package of Nutella with it.

On February 19, California Tortilla took the wind chill temperature (-9 degrees) and would give you chips and queso for that price. So I got a soda and tortilla soup for lunch and got paid 10 cents (they rounded up) for the chips and dip!

After buying 12 drinks at Starbucks, I got my freebie! A vente double chocolaty chip frappachino.

For the entire month of February, Chik-fil-A was giving out free iced coffees to get people to try them as they are new on the menu. I got two vanilla iced coffees on two different days!

I got a deluxe sample of the new Benefit Roller Lash mascara because I am a Ulta Platinum member.

Later in February, I also got a deluxe It Cosmetics Brow Power Universal Brow Pencil as a member of Ulta's Platinum program.

I got a coupon for $10 off a $10 purchase or more at Victoria Secret. I found a cute little see through cosmetic pouch that I couldn't resist, and it was FREE because it was a $10 bag! Yay for free!

Whilst waiting for a Caramel Machiatto from Starbucks, they made the wrong drink for someone, who promptly took the wrong drink and left. So the Barista let me have a free Green Tea Lemonade! Mmm!

Bath and Body Works was having a "Buy 2 get 1 free" sale, so I got the Love & Sunshine body wash for free with the purchase of the Wild Honeysuckle body wash and lotion!

This month was a little harder to determine the actual value of the items verses what I could have paid, so here it is to the best of my knowledge:

-Julep Pore Vanisher, no value listed (free)
-Julep Metamorphic Top Coat, $14 (free)
-Dunkin' Donuts ~$4 (free)
-Love chips $2.39 (free)
-Chips & Questo $2.39 (free)
-Starbucks Venti drink ~$5 (free)
-Chik Fil A drink $1.99 x 2 = $3.98 (free)
-Benefit mascara sample, no value (free)
-It brow sample, no value (free)
-Victoria Secret pouch, $10 (free)
-Starbucks tall drink, ~$2
-Love & Sunshine body wash, $12.50 (free)

January Deals

So while the previous post contained my January Freebies, this post contains my January Deals. I am an extreme coupon lover and while I may not always get everything for free - I am able to score great deals.

I had $10 of extrabucks from CVS that expired in the beginning of January, so I picked up this Revlon Ultra HD lipstick in Sweet Pea. It retails for $10.99 at CVS, so it was $0.99 plus tax, so I only paid $1.42 for this lipstick!
I had a $5 DSW birthday reward that I wasn't sure if I was going to use. I didn't find any shoes when I visited so I looked at the accessory clearance items. I found this cute Kelly & Katie hat.
Originally: $16.94
Reduced 70% off price:$5.08
-$5 coupon
= I paid $0.08 cents for this hat!

As an AC Moore rewards member, I received a $10 reward after every ~$200.  I used the $10 reward in conjunction with a 20% off coupon, thus receiving my stickers and washi tape for the price of $0.38 cents! Not bad.

So the retail value the three purchases in this post would have been $38.29 and I only paid $1.88!

January Freebies

While I am procrastinating working on my homework, I thought I would share with you the freebies I received for January 2015! Lots of good things and all for free! I will post the good January Deals here.

For my birthday from Ulta Beauty, an eyeshadow palette that is really nice!

In December I picked up my Make Up For Ever mascara and lipstick birthday duo from Sephora. They always have great birthday gifts every year. I'm in love with the mascara, it is amazing quality.

I happened to place an order on Sephora's website in the beginning of January and it said I was eligible for the 2015 birthday gift. So not looking a horse birthday gift in the mouth (though I shouldn't be getting this until Dec. 2015), I got the two Nars lip pencils!

I won a trio of nail polishes by ReadySetGlamour on YouTube in a contest! The first YouTube contest I've ever won!

My Winter 2014 beauty box from Walmart came in the beginning of January with lots of awesome samples. Technically, the box is free, but you pay $5 for shipping.

Left to right: Sephora Moisturizer - I often get freebie coupons for the Sephora inside JC Penney. Middle is a sample of Cupid's Love soap from Lush. Third and right is the Cool Amazon Rain mini lotion from Bath and Body Works - I received a coupon for it in the mail.

I got this L'Occitane Light Comforting Cream sample from L'Occitane and I am IN LOVE! The full size retails at $28 and when I am done with this sample, I will definitely buy it. It has made my face feel so soft and I'm so in love with this moisturizer.

Excuse the furry cat butt photobomb! I got a free Dunkin' Go bar from Dunkin' Donuts when I purchased a sweet tea. I got the coupon from the Dunkin' perks program!

For my birthday La Madeleine sent a free birthday pastry coupon out. So my mom and I went to La Madeleine and had their delicious Sacher Torte ($4.59 value).

I cut out a coupon in the Sunday paper for a free Venus shave gel with the purchase of a Venus razor. The value of the shaving cream could be $4.99 and the one that I picked out (Sugarberry Bliss) was only $2.99. So not only did I get the shaving cream for free, but the coupon took an additional $2.00 off the purchase - totaling a savings of $4.99!

The last freebie of the month was my Julep Maven welcome box. I received three polishes and a lip gloss and paid $2.99 only for the shipping costs!

Free tea taste test

Today I tried the Celestial Seasonings Candy Cane Lane Green Tea. It is decaffeinated. I was not a huge fan of the flavoring of green tea mixed with candy cane. I do really like green teas, but I'm just not a fan of the candy cane flavoring. I was surprised to see that this was a bag to steep with no string attached. It steeped really quickly and had a strong scent. I like other Celestial Seasoning teas, just not this one!

*I received this tea compliments of Influenster, for testing purposes. All opinions are honest and my own.

Influenster Frosty VoxBox

So technically this post should have been up in December, but better late than never!

For the holidays, I received the Influenster Frosty VoxBox. Influenster is a service that allows you to connect your social media accounts, and based on your social impact, you are sent complimentary items to sample and write reviews about.

The Frosty VoxBox contained some fantastic products that I was eager to try out. These completely free products include:

-EcoTools hair brush
-McCormick Gourmet Thyme
-Red Vine Fruit Vines Strawberry bites
-NYC lipstick
-No7 serum
-Rimmel London eyeliner
-Rimmel London eye make up remover
-Celestial Seasonings Candy Cane Lane green tea

I had not tried any of these products so it was awesome to be sent them for free. Out of everything that I tried, the best was by far the hair brush! It worked really well when I was drying and straightening my hair. I also gave the Thyme to my mom to use. She used it to season a really good turkey.

Singing into my new hair brush about how awesome it is!

I did not care for the fruit vines, they were chewy and got stuck in my teeth. Overall, they were just too sweet. And the tea was TERRIBLE! I was not a fan of the flavor, or the fact that it was a tea pouch and no string for dunking.

The lipstick was okay, but nothing special. Not a surprise for a lipstick that is sold for under $2. The eyeliner was really awesome, equivalent to the quality of Urban Decay's 24/7 liners, but it smudged fairly quickly - even with a primer. And the eye make up remover was great, I haven't used it a lot but it is definitely something I am happy to have.

And lastly, I didn't use the No7 serum because that is just not something I need to use!

*FTC disclaimer: I was sent all of these items, complimentary for testing purposes. All opinions are honest and my own.
