April Deals

April was also a good month for deals!

At L'Occitane, this little lotion tin was only $3! A great deal and I love their lotions so much.

I went to CVS to look for new items, but I knew I needed to pick up some new BB cream for the summer. I got quite the deal:
-I had a $3 manufacturer coupon for the Revlon lip gloss, $3 Covergirl coupon, $8 extrabucks and 20% off beauty purchase...so I paid a whopping $3.07 for this combo!
I picked up the new Spring 2015 color from Essie in "Flowerista" at CVS. I also picked up some make up wipes (not pictured)
-Retail for polish $8.50, wipes $4.19
-Coupons 25% off, 20% off, $5 extrabucks
-Paid $3.97 (70% savings!)

Ulta was having a 40% off Almay sale, and I had a $3 manufacturer coupon for an Almay product. I picked up this liquid eyeline for:
-Originally $7.39
-40% off was $4.39-$4 coupon
-$0.49, 3 cents tax = $0.52 total!

The Target Beauty Box for Spring was a great deal at $5, because its contents were worth much more! Not currently available for purchase.

Last but not least in my deals was the L'Occibox from L'Occitane. It came with lots of fun goodies and was only $20!

April Freebies

April Freebies are long overdue! It was a busy month in school so I'm only just now getting to it, but the freebies treated me well this month.

My first PinchMe box this month had a Nivea shower lotion sample & coupon, Buensabor coupon, coffee, two sweeteners and a small sunscreen.
I used the PinchMe BuenSabor coupon to get a free entree! It was so-so.

PinchMe sent a bonus box this month, with coffee, sweetener and a coupon.

I got a random Target mobile coupon for a free Coke Zero product, which was refreshing!
In a L'Occitane order, I got lots of small sample packets and a free eau d'toilette that smells really good!

Back in December 2014 (possibly earlier) I signed up to get a free Secret deodorant sample. It didn't come until April, and by then I didn't even remember it was coming! It also came with a little Olay face wash sample too.
At some point in April, CeraVe was taking requests for samples (I believe I saw this in my daily Hip2Save newsletter) and it came with a face wash and moisturizer! It even came in a really adorable bag which is definitely a bonus. It also came with a $3 off coupon, which is nice because if I decide to buy their products, the coupon is a good incentive.

The morning of 4/19, I was in line at Target around 7:30 am, waiting for the doors to open so I could shop the new Lilly Putlizer for Target collection. While we were waiting in line, the Target employees handed out reusable Target bags (you get 5cents off a purchase when you use it) and it had a water and granola bar inside!
I got a cute CVS tote one day! They had a coupon for it with your extra care card, and you got 30% off CVS brand items when you bought the bag.

And last but not least, I was selected for the Carefree VoxBox from Influenster. I was not impressed with this VoxBox for many reasons, mostly because this pantyliner is not a new product! In addition, I'm not a fan of 1-product VoxBoxes. I can't complain, since it was sent to me complimentary for testing purposes - but often the boxes have multiple products from many brands. PLUS I didn't want to blog about free feminine care products - that just doesn't flow (oops, sorry for the pun) with my blog.

March Freebies!

The dermatologist always gives out samples, so I got these new Aveeno daily moisturizers!

I received the Dessange Paris hair care from Influenster for complimentary testing purposes! Read my review of them here.
For completing surveys from the Dean's List Vox Box in September 2014, my free Influenster mug came!

With the purchase of a medium iced coffee at Dunkin' Donuts, I got this reusable 99-cent refill cup. The value of the cup is $12.99 and with a registered Dunkin Perks card, you get this cup filled for only 99-cents! Totally awesome.
Redeemed a large iced coffee that I received as a Dunkin' perk!

These adorable cat earrings were free from Jackson Galaxy's website - just had to pay $4.95 for shipping. They are a $14.95 value. The deal is no longer valid, but you can buy them here!

I always get Bath and Body Works coupons in the mail. I got one for a free travel size item, so I picked up the Cool Amazon Rain body spray.
I was so excited to finally find the Olay Fresh Outlasts Cooling White Strawberry & Mint! I tried it in a PinchMe box and have been looking for it for months. It retails for $4.97 and I had a $5 off Olay coupon - so it was completely free!

I've been taking surveys on epollsurveys.com since the summer and have been saving my points! I finally redeemed the points for a $20 Starbucks card! So totally awesome!

In my March Julep box, I got the Julep Oxygen Performance Top Coat for free! It is my new go to top coat. It helps preserve the polish and makes it look super shiny!
Last but not least is my Walmart Beauty Box for Spring 2015! It is free with $5 shipping. It comes with lots of fun samples that are new for the season. They are sent quarterly/every 90 days!

March Deals

The next best thing to freebies are good deals. And this month, I got two great deals at CVS!

In the beginning of March I had a whole bunch of coupons for CVS.
Milani Lip gloss retail $5.99
Almay Lip Butter each retail $7.49.
I had two $3 manufacturer coupons for Almay products, a $6 extrabucks for CVS, a CVS $2 off $10 cosmetic coupon and a 20% off your purchase coupon. So I paid...
.79 cents for each Almay lipstick and $2.27 for the gloss. I saved $17.52 or 81%!

Later in the month, I was at CVS again. Rimmel was having a buy one get one 50% off sale. The Rimmel Stay Matte Powder retails for $6.29 and with the 50% off, the polish was $1.59. I had $8 of CVS rewards/coupons and $1 Rimmel Manufacturer coupon. So I paid an astonishing 0.27 cents ONLY IN TAX for both products, total! I saved $10.73 or 100%!

Total cost of products before discount: $30.45
What I paid: $4.12
Total savings of this post: $28.25

Dessange Vox Box

In my latest Influenster Vox Box, I received a trio of hair care products. The Dessange Paris Replenshing Shampoo, Replenishing Conditioner and the Replenishing Oil. These products are meant for people with overprocessed and damaged hair. Now, I wouldn't say my hair 100% falls into these categories, but I do get it colored with highlights, use a hairdryer and straightening and also have dryer hair in the winter.

This trio contains three precious oils - argan, camellia and pracaxi. These Salon Exclusive Techniques are made in Spain.

After I use the system, my hair feels refreshed and soft. It also looks shiny and healthy with use overtime.

The little quote on the box says, "In 1954, Jacques Dessange opened his first salon in Paris on the prestigious Champs-Elysees. By then, he was alreayd the favorite hairdresser of many French actresses. A few years later, he became the official hair dresser of the Cannes Film Festival. He created legendary professional techniques such as the "California BLonde" and the "Coiffe-Decoiffe" - now established worldwide."

And now you can get a salon was and condition at home! They can be purchased at Target.

Influenster sent me these products complimentary, for testing purposes.

*everything retail together: $33.33 and I only paid $12.94!
Old Navy had a lot of  stuff in their sale racks. I found this tank top that retails for $10, on sale for $4.99, further reduced to $2.99 and I had a 10% off coupon. With tax, I paid only $2.85.

The value of my February deals is $50.82 and I only paid $18.61!

February Freebies

Now into February 2015, the second month of the year...my freebies have continued to come in! Let's see what I got...
In my first Julep Maven subscription box for February 2015, I received a free metamorphic top coat ($14 value) as a little goodie from Julep. And since I had three add on products, they sent me a Julep Pore Vanisher for free!

Dunkin' Donuts was celebrating the 1 year anniversary of their Dunkin' Perks program. If you purchased a drink you would get a coupon to redeem on your next visit for a free drink of any size. So for my free drink, I got a large French vanilla swirl ice coffee and I got a free donut as well (because I fill out the coupon for the free donut on the bottom of the receipt).

On February 12, California Tortilla was giving out free Love Chips with Nutella, with a purchase. So I bought a soda and got the free cinnamon sugar dusted tortilla chips and a little package of Nutella with it.

On February 19, California Tortilla took the wind chill temperature (-9 degrees) and would give you chips and queso for that price. So I got a soda and tortilla soup for lunch and got paid 10 cents (they rounded up) for the chips and dip!

After buying 12 drinks at Starbucks, I got my freebie! A vente double chocolaty chip frappachino.

For the entire month of February, Chik-fil-A was giving out free iced coffees to get people to try them as they are new on the menu. I got two vanilla iced coffees on two different days!

I got a deluxe sample of the new Benefit Roller Lash mascara because I am a Ulta Platinum member.

Later in February, I also got a deluxe It Cosmetics Brow Power Universal Brow Pencil as a member of Ulta's Platinum program.

I got a coupon for $10 off a $10 purchase or more at Victoria Secret. I found a cute little see through cosmetic pouch that I couldn't resist, and it was FREE because it was a $10 bag! Yay for free!

Whilst waiting for a Caramel Machiatto from Starbucks, they made the wrong drink for someone, who promptly took the wrong drink and left. So the Barista let me have a free Green Tea Lemonade! Mmm!

Bath and Body Works was having a "Buy 2 get 1 free" sale, so I got the Love & Sunshine body wash for free with the purchase of the Wild Honeysuckle body wash and lotion!

This month was a little harder to determine the actual value of the items verses what I could have paid, so here it is to the best of my knowledge:

-Julep Pore Vanisher, no value listed (free)
-Julep Metamorphic Top Coat, $14 (free)
-Dunkin' Donuts ~$4 (free)
-Love chips $2.39 (free)
-Chips & Questo $2.39 (free)
